Seriously, did anyone out there really like the Speedracer Cartoon? My sister and I hated it -- it was always like someone had it on to fill space or maybe it was one guy at the network's favorite and everyone was afraid to tell him it sucked.
The movie may have been good, but the weekend box office showed it did about half what the studio projected. If they play it continuously everyone will have to watch it like we did that daft cartoon when we were kids.
I really hope it was a good story because it had some talented actors. But as soon as I heard they were making a movie of that damn cartoon something inside me died just a bit -- the cartoon was that bad!
On the plus side, IRONMAN dominated for the second week pulling in 2 1/2 times what Speed did.Here are the numbers from Box Office Mojo:

- Speedracer -- 20,200,000
